Exploring Majors

Major: Liberal Art: Social Science and Hummanities

1. What is the focus of this major? What areas will you study?
The major forus of this major is get english and social credits to transfer to another school. Since I dont know what I'm going to major in Liberal Art allows me to explore my options. I love history and to express my self through writing so I really I'm enjoying majoring in Liberal Arts. I'm thinking about using the credits I earn towards Journalism. The most challenging class I had to take so far was phioloshpy....it was kinda hard remembering all the philoshpers names and what their theory was. I don't think I had any easy class, most of them required for you to think hard and were challenging in there own way. There was aren't any GPA requirements to be accepted into this major. My major can be completed in four year. I would like to take paint 2. Apparenlty you can do alot with liberal arts you work in corpations and stuff

Self-Management System

Everyone manage their school work differently, but for me I write all my important school information in a small notebook. I use the calender in my ipod to remind me of important events or meetings. I always attend classes because missing just one class leaves you behide. I don't like not knowing whats going on. I always have to be aware or I'll just start cutting class and fail. If I'm doing bad with a class I tend to talk to my professor on what I can do to improve. I don't wanna fail without even trying to pass the class because I  wanna try to passs. It is important for me to make time for my social life. After school i usually hang and talk with my friends. I try not to let school work overwhelm or stress me out. I manage my time by taking small steps to manage everyting. It simple for me to manage school this way because I organize everything and make a list to whats important to the least. I actually don't feel stress out but relax and at easy. =3

Exam Preparation Analysis

1. What logical conclusion about my studying habits and test taking can I draw as a result of this analysis/class discussion?
My study habits aren't the best. I procrastinate most of the time when I have to study. I leave the studying to the day before the exam. Most of the time I can't get all the information inside my mind before the exam. I also don't ask professors questions when I'm confuse.
2. What changes can I make to improve my exam performance before the next exam?
For the next test I should study ahead of time. I should at least study three days ahead to make sure I understood all the information thats going to be on the test. If I really don't understand what going to be on the test I should make sure to ask the professor questions and maybe a review sheet. It's my grade and my responsibility to do well in the end.

Personal Responsibility

Personal responsibility is really important without it one can create a huge mess of one's life. In today's discussion I learn that I am responsible for the choices I make, especially when it comes to my school work. I shouldn't wait for a long time to do my assignments. I have do my work and be aware of what going on in my life.
